Глагол to gazump употребляется среди риелторов. To gazump значит повысить цену на имущество после соглашения с потенциальным покупателем, но до подписания юридического договора. При таких условиях покупатель должен решать: или платить больше, или взять обратно своё предложение и снова начать поиск дома или квартиры. Происхождение этого слова неизвестно. Нечестная практика называется gazumping, и жертва обманщиков жалуется так:

I've been gazumped. — Меня надули.
